Offer him a cup at each highchair feeding. Let him try on his own without u touching it. Let him have control. Allow for him to explore it on his own.

Hear me out when you and dad are infront of him drink with the cup/bottle you want him to drink out of. Pretend to enjoy, kids are sponges they absorb the energy around them.
