This can be entire countries or even broken down to individual states or cities. 2. Shipping Cost • This could be a flat rate for all orders; • Shipping provided at the checkout by the carriers themselves; • Shipping based on a % of the order cost; • Shipping based on product dimensions or weight; • Or every shopper’s favourite, free shipping. Also make sure you include any customs, duties or taxes a customer may incur if shipping across borders. 3. Shipping Timing How long does it take to ship the product to the customer? Include handling time, transit time and the cut-off time. • Handling time is the number of days it takes to process the order before it ships; • Transit time is the amount of time it will be in transit before it arrives to the customer; • The cut-off time is the time of day by which the customer needs to complete their order in order to start the clock on their transit time. 4. Shipment Confirmation & Order Tracking Include in your policy something like, “you will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number”. 5. Limitation of Liability for Customs, Duties and Taxes Include in your policy something like, “XYZ Pty Ltd is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer.” 6. Limitation of Liability for Damages Include in your policy something like, “XYZ Pty Ltd is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim.” 7. Make Reference to Your Returns Policy Include in your policy something like, “we strive to deliver you the best in quality and value.
