step 1: take the tool back to where you purchased it step 2: they send it away to makita factory service centre step 3: they send back fixed tool step 4: you pick up fixed tool and keep on working😎

This has happened to my drill and grinder too, just makes a weird noise but doesn’t work. Sent it to get replaced under warranty and they “fixed” it but it did it again. Moving to red soon 😑

As a makita man one thing that ALWAYS break on me are the combis they’re horrific, yet had same impact for years, combis barley last 1 year

Yeah mate I’ve had the exact same issue! One of my batteries blew up. Motherboard on my drill went. Rafter hook on my skilly just decided it wanted to not be on it anymore. Waste of my money
