Pulling the slack is good, but doesn't tell the lifter how to do it, and won't help with the lower back much. they must learn how to brace

Is it an issue if the upper part of the back isn’t straight when lifting? I’ve never had issues with pain in my life, but my upper back tends to bend when I add more weight.
