Did any of these surprise you?! 🤔 🇯🇴 Jordan 🇯🇴 Jordan felt extremely safe and is decidedly one of, if not THE, safest country in the Middle East. I could literally leave my camera bag somewhere (my biggest anxiety) and it would be safe. Jordanians were also super friendly, respectful, and helpful. 🇸🇬 Singapore 🇸🇬 Singapore is one of the safest countries in Asia (and probably the world too!). Theft and violent crime are extremely rare. There's a strong sense of community and everything is SO clean too! 🇮🇹 Italy 🇮🇹 Italy was difficult to rate because in small towns it felt super safe, but in cities and touristy areas pickpocketing is unfortunately common. So it felt a lot less safe and I was hyper aware of my stuff - Rome is especially unsafe feeling but places like the Dolomites felt super safe. 🇹🇭 Thailand 🇹🇭 Thailand overall felt super safe, everyone was so so kind, and it was easy to travel around solo. For me the only mark against safety was the crazy traffic in Bangkok! 🇪🇨 Ecuador 🇪🇨 Ecuador is safe to visit for solo travelers, but I mostly ranked it low as Quito drug the overall safety feeling down - I felt very perceived as a tourist, and was anxious to pull out my camera or even phone much there. In Mindo, Otavalo, Baños, and Cotopaxo I felt much safer! What did you think of these ratings?
