Surely “Aboot” isn’t real. Also when I hear a Canadian accent it just sounds American to me, yet when I hear it compared to an American it sounds similar to my own.

it's different all over Canada. my mom is from BC and my dad is from Quebec. I wad born in saskatchewan and because of the ways the my parents spoke I often wouldn't understand certain expressions.
