Try dumping boiling water on it. You might have to dig off the sod to keep it away, but boiling water should kill it at least for the current season

if your talking about the down guides you call 💯 do what you need to around them. They typically are about a 45° angle down to the ground connected to what looks like a huge Sewing needle eye.

good luck. I have some places I don't want plants growing. I mixed 1/2 gal. apple cider vinegar, tbsp blue Dawn and 1/4 cup salt and sprayed/ dumped.
