Doesn’t River’s mouth get terribly dry from being open all the time? Since he is tube fed and nonverbal, wouldn’t it be more comfortable for him if he was given surgery to allow it to be closed?

What a beautiful person you are. I would not be so gracious towards Rivers mother. I guess she is dealing with her own personal hell and you exude love and positivity which I’m sure River picks up on.

There's so many people who just don't understand brain injuries and are saying the most horrible things in your comment sections. I don't understand this. I understand what they THINK they know. But they don't get it. And it's not their baby and it's not them in the situation so it's so easy to say such heartbreaking and cruel things. I'm so very sorry for that.

What an amazing father you are. I lost my son 10 years ago to drowning - he would had been 14.(he was 4). It still hurts but my only hope is I’ll see him in heaven. I’ll keep River in my prayers.
