I know my high school. I went to if you missed certain amount of days school the district will give your parents a warning and then I think the second time is when they would take it to court

Junior high I had chronic absenteeism but I hated it. It was because of my father. He just wouldn’t take me to school some days and I had no other way to get there :(

I have a few students that have missed 1/3 of the school year. Some of those have mostly As. Great in elementary school but I explained to them that in HS, it will impact their grades if they don’t
