@staceyhikes: Hiking with good hiking buddies is amazing. But I am very much in love with solo hiking too. One of my favourite ways to spend a sunny day is to find a quiet summit, one that tends to get much less traffic and foot fall than busy ones, and head off for a solo hike. I like setting off really early, so I often find that I have mountains Summits and entirely to myself and there is no peace like that. this was the summit of Pen Yr Ole Wen in the Ogwen Valley area of Eryri (Snowdonia) in North Wales. No doubt people would have been queueing at the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) at the very same moment that I had a neighbouring summit and entirely to myself. ##solohiking##solohiker##snowdonia
