Took down a prod kubernetes server by miss configuring a ingress. Which caused on pod restarts to not go through existing working ingress config, this was bad because i made the change 2 days 1/2

As juniort tech needed wired connection to Wireless vlan, went to serverroom to patch to my desk, after 30minutes of all office in panic - it turned out I patched it back in the same switch, which crashed it and all office network with it.

I typed a lan shutdown on a terminal in a lab environment, thinking that I would not have admin privileges and that the lab was working on a subnet. Both untrue, every host in the building shut down💀

I plugged an old printer into the network. For some reason the config was stuck on an old subnet that no longer existed. It created an ARP broadcast storm. We superglued the NIC shut on the printer.

Palo Alto asked us to send them support logs asap to investigate an issue with random disconnects in the evenings. Exporting the support logs crashed the firewall in the middle of the day 😅
