I’m AA and this is true. I asked my grandmother to help me co-sign a loan to go to college she told me no but, gave my brother her car, paid for his rent etc.. they do this a lot to the girls

The car example was so specific 😅 mine wouldn’t even let me buy the car off them. Sold it to a random instead and watched me struggle to get around a city with horrible public transportation 🥰

my dad is a boomer. had five houses he sold, before that he was the landlord renting out rooms in those houses. he knows I'm in a bad place financially after losing my husband and despite watching me languish in grief and debt he would rather try to stage an intervention than give me money he definitely has.
