I usually have it simmer for about 30mins but definitely going to increase my time! I was wondering, can I use the boiled ginger to then make ginger shots after? Like juice them. Maybe add some fresh?

I grew up drinking ginger tea, my mom used to put it in a ziplock and pound it the put it in the water. We grew ginger in the Caribbean so it’s like an everyday thing

Doesn't boiling ginger, remove vital vitamins, nutrients, antioxidants? I was always taught to purée it raw, let it steep in slightly cooled boiled water, then let it steep for at least 12 hours.

hi, is it okay to boil ginger with lemon or is it more okay to just add the slice of lemon in a cup of ginger tea with a teaspoon of honey? also is it okay to drink it cold or i have to boil it again?

Yes!!! I've been making ginger & turmeric tea this way but people say I do too much for too long. 😂 Usually make it very strong then freeze it into small ice cubes so I can add to any water/tea

I boil water, turn it off, the I squeeze the juice out of the ginger w tool, squeeze lemon add local honey, I also leave the ginger and lemon in the cup as I drink.
