I filed for bankruptcy 2 years ago. and it's be done for a year and a half now. even though I owe nothing, they still report to my credit for missed payment every months and can't stop it

after you file his final tax return send a letter asking them to close his cra account this will finalize everything for you and you won't have to deal with them again. I just did this with my mother

I got audited 2 years in a row and they kept asking for information and documents which they had received many times. I filed a complaint it’s been 6 months no response yet still investigating

It was a nightmare when my dad passed ! Sooo many back and forth letters & calls with CRA! It’ll be a year Sunday since dad passed and we found out today they want 427$ of the “death benefit” back 🙄

2013 my husband tried to file his taxes, said they were already rec'd. It took until 2019 to sort it out.Mind numbing. New person each time, wrote letters no reply.Had to hire an acct to fix it.Brutal

Funeral home sent the notice to CRA and still to this day never asked for a will. They want one for a clearance certificate but the courts took it for probate

I did all my late father's stuff myself using a list published by CRA. It was very straightforward. No issues. One of lucky ones I guess.

Good luck! I’m 1.5 years into my mothers estate and it’s not done. I even received a certificate to distribute part of estate under the wrong name.

I made an application on behalf of my late father. CRA wrote back okay… however, they couldn’t even address me by my proper/signed name. They changed my last name entirely lol 🤦♀️
