100%. My son was flipping desks. Switched to a school with a Para in every room. No more desk flipping bc more adults = earlier de-escalation.

I teach at a residential trauma school soecializing in RAD. Unless not required by their home state, all IEP students. I ❤️it. But stress safe learning environments due to students trauma issues.

🙏 I used to be a para. I’ve never worked so hard. I remember not being able to use the bathroom , missing lunch breaks, and our district just kept creating administrative jobs. Unforgivable.

100% agree. I’m a teaching assistant (para) and the way that my district treats us is horrible. People tell me all the time to leave but I just can’t leave my students!

Our state audited our district and told us we were “too Para heavy” and now we’ve had such a hard time getting paras written into IEPs 🥵
