I was told years ago by an older truck mechanic that the trucks have a lower limit as there is more weight to add more pressure to the road to disperse the water. No idea if true or not 😁

the company I work for changes hgv tyres when they get to 3mm they don't let them go lower

Grip levels disappear as soon as u hit 3mm and below. always replace before they even get close to 1.6mm
