There are tip jars everywhere. I know people don’t make much so I usually leave at least a minimal amount. But I feel like I’m subsidizing the restaraunt owner who doesn’t pay employees

No service - a couple dollars / buffet (drinks only) - 10ish% / actual waitress 15-25% depending on how often they had to run back and forth and how long I was there

At a restaurant where you would typically tip when eating there, tipping is still standard, but not the same 20%. Instead you would just leave a few bucks.

Tipping prompts around food has gotten out of control in the US… historically we were only expected to tip if we sat down at a restaurant but now we’re being promoted for tips everywhere

It was standard practice to tip wait staff who served at your table. They make a lower wage & rely on tips. Counter workers generally make a full wage, so tipping wasn’t customary, but could happen.

They definitely work hard to prepare ur foods. Some things are labor intensive. I work at Crumbl Cookie & some of those cookies take a bunch of steps & careful precision to make the cookie presentable

It really is a personal decision. I tip ALL the time. Many folks would not tip for self service. I've never regretted tipping.
