Are you TRAINING or are you just going through the motions? “I think my program is too easy.. my heart rate isnt getting up that high and I’m not sweating much, I also haven’t noticed much muscle growth yet!!” I hear statements like this ^ from women ALL the time… And heres the thing, a lot of us gals who are now getting into weight-lifting have come from a “cardio bunny” background… so its understandable why you may be comparing how you feel after an effective cardio session to how you feel during your weight-lifting sessions… And while there may be overlaps (its totally possible for your heart rate to come higher during a weights workout and to break a sweat)— remember that cardio and lifting are NOT the same thing!! So “breaking a sweat” and “having a higher HR” should NOT be the variables you’re basing your training effectiveness off of… Instead, pay attention to the following: ➡️ are you getting stronger (lifting more weight for the same quality form & reps OR completing more reps for the same quality form & load) ➡️ are you feeling more confident in form and noticing improved mind-muscle connection ➡️ are you CONSISTENTLY training close to technical failure (watch video for visual demo on this) These ^^ are what an effective weight lifting session is all about. And doing these things consistently for MONTHS (not just 3 weeks) is what will yield results overtime. Be patient, get intentional with your sets/reps, and keep lifting ladies!💪🏽 PS, this gorgeous fit is from @DFYNE CODE “tonedwithtina” gets you 10% off at checkout🫶🏼 . . . . . #GymTok #gymmotivation #liftingweights #womenwholift #fitnessmotivation #gym #gymrat
