Cinnamon Knots Recipe 🤍 These fluffy cinnamon knots are perfect for a cozy afternoon or as a sweet start to your day. 🥰 📝 Ingredients for the dough (makes about 10 knots): •	250 g all-purpose flour •	30 g sugar •	1 pinch of salt •	1/2 packet of dry yeast (approx. 3.5 g) •	100 ml lukewarm milk •	30 g soft butter •	1 egg (room temperature) For the cinnamon filling: •	50 g soft butter •	70 g brown sugar •	1 tsp cinnamon For brushing: •	1 egg yolk •	1 tsp milk For topping: •	Chopped nuts or almonds •	Maple syrup (for a glossy finish) 🤍 Instructions: 1.	Put the flour into a bowl and create a well in the center. Add the dry yeast, 1 tsp of sugar, and 2-3 tbsp of the lukewarm milk into the well. Stir lightly and let the mixture rest for about 10 minutes until it starts to bubble. 2.	Add the remaining milk, sugar, salt, soft butter, and egg to the bowl. Knead the mixture into a smooth dough that pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size. 3.	For the filling, mix together the soft butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until well combined. 4.	Once the dough has risen, roll it out into a large rectangle on a floured surface. Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the dough. 5.	Fold the dough by bringing one side to the middle, and then fold the other side over it. Cut the dough into even strips. 6.	Slice each strip lengthwise into three parts without cutting all the way through, and braid them. Twist the braided strips into knots. 7.	Place the knots into a greased Muffin tin and let them rise for another 20-30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). 8.	Brush the knots with the egg yolk and milk mixture, and sprinkle with chopped nuts or almonds if desired. 9.	Bake the knots for 15-18 minutes until golden brown. Once out of the oven, let them cool slightly, then brush generously with maple syrup while they are still warm for a glossy finish. These cinnamon knots are wonderfully soft and flavorful, with a perfect touch of sweetness from the maple syrup! 🥰
