Not sure about Ethiopia, but there is no marginalisation based on skin colour in Somalia. We have elites of all skin tones. Somalis care far more about features and whether they fit Somali standards.

Jareer isn't really hair type but tribe's name that some people use as derogatory in the same sense colonial settlers used the term African as derogatory. Words like jakuug means kinky hair in Somali.
