@barnaclefoods: Bullwhip kelp, also known as “mermaids bladder,” or Nereocystis luetkeana, consists of a hollow tube-like stipe. The buoyant tube floats to the surface to harvest sunlight ☀️. The gas inside the bulb is carbon monoxide (Snorkelers: don’t be drinkin’ this gas 🤿). Bull kelp grows like an annual plant - mostly dying back each winter and regrowing to full size (up to 100 ft in length!) in a single season. It grows along the west coast of North America, stretching from Alaska down to Northern California. And, it’s the first ingredient in our HOT SAUCE and KELP SALSA!! #asmr #kelp #alaska #fypage #seaweed #barnaclefoods #hotsauce #hotones
