Apparently many hotels allow you to use their address as a temporary residence address for as long as you live there, but you just need to ask to see if they allow it or not

It’s really not hard; get a tourist sim with calls, stay in an airbnb or sharehouse for a few weeks and then everything is fine.

in the us I needed credit to get a phone plan couldn't get it because i didmt have credit i wanted to get a credit card but I need credit and they recommended getting a phone plan 😒

You can find fully furnitured apartments on weave living website. You can rent them for 9 months if im right. You can even order before moving to Japan

Put a hostel / hotel address or something and book one or two nights on a random date plus some tourist sims have numbers get one of them for a month or two, hope that helps
