if you use 8 and 8 and 4 the dual chanel wil only work for 4 gig, never 8. You lose 50 % dual channel

As long as the speed on the memory matches feel free to mix and match capacity. Doesn’t bode well for my OCD but more ram is always better provided the speed is the same.

I agree with ram speed does not make a huge difference even if you use xmp, you will get a maximum 2-5 fps which is not astronomical.. But dual channel is important if you want your pc to run well..
