@iamgertrudejordan: I want to remind you that your LO needs the BEST care. One of the changes that occurs in late Alzheimer's is how your LO walks. They will start to shuffle. For Mommy, not only is she starting to shuffle, but she’s also bending at the knees. I requested OT and PT for her, and they were approved. They gave us exercises to work with her and they make house visits once a week. We also have a nurse. Please don’t allow companies to tell you your LO doesn’t qualify or need the services. Use your data, observations, and documentation to advocate for their needs. Even though I know it will happen soon, I’m trying to prevent Mommy from being bed-bound. SN: Both the OT and PT that come out are amazing. They don’t know, but I always pray for GOOD, patient, and loving people to enter our homes, especially when they are working with Mommy! Also, Mommy got an F because she cussed the lady out and told her to leave the house. 😩😩😩😩 Mommy called her an F’er. Sweet Jesus.
