I know that the rest of the world thinks American desserts are too sweet. In New York (state) we always ate it with super-sharp superb cheddar to cut the sweetness. Nothing better.

in America we have dutch apple pie (idk if it's dutch actually us food names are like that) it's the sweet short crust with the filling but instead of a top crust it's strudel
