The ev battery does not run anything other than the motor, everything else is 12v, you’d be in same position with petrol

Had 2 electric cars…only minor problems with tech. You could easily have had a dead battery on an ICE vehicle.

If not used to much 12v goes dead and you have to jump it, dealers don’t tell you this , told me have to by a jump pack as this going to happen all the time to me

You traction battery and 12v battery are two very different things. Your traction battery could be 100% but if you don’t have any charge in your 12v it won’t start. The same would happen with a ICE.

Its just a fault with the 12v. You need to charge it up. The jump pack should have got you going but you’d likely need to keep it switched ‘on’ for a while. Could happen to an ICE

12v is dead. I don't know why more EVs don't have this. But my Leaf has a solar panel that tops off the 12v so my 12v never dies 🤣

I owned an EV for 8 months it was in the garage for 4 months I rejected it back to a diesel now best thing I ever done EVs are a non starter long term

the more electrics, the more problems. my Xtrail which is a dirty diesel had electrical issues, even nissan couldn't figure out why. I prefer classics now tbh

My car did this and was another 12v battery at the back that was dead. Now in a hybrid, as I had full electric car anxiety what with the charging too.

Being disabled & not going out much, I could never have an EV. Landlord wouldn't allow a charge point & I wouldn't drive it for weeks.

I had a similar issue 6 years ago with my bmw i3 had 90% battery, bmw tried to tell me I let the battery go flat. The result was it took bmw 3 weeks to wright new software to solve the issue.

So many issues with EVs, recently this happened to Lee Davey twice on his Porsche Taycan. £300 for a 12volt battery. And they're not easy to get in once the 12v battery dies

Same happened to me had to use booster battery and then make the car charge the small battery on the screen info. Looks like something is using the 12v battery
