I was friends with someone for almost 20 years. in August I made the decision to stop drinking completely. It was taking a toll on my life and my health. She reached out here and there on holidays but that's it... im now 9 months sober and I haven't heard from her in 2 months, and haven't seen her in 7- worst part is she lives TWO blocks away... Shows I was only good enough when I was drinking.... Her loss not mine

If it’s a 1-sided friendship, I am the only 1 who constantly reaches out & when I ask them to hang out, there’s always excuses but I see them constantly hanging out with other people, I am ✂️them out

What’s frustrating is when you try to resolve things (there aren’t any obvious issues- the friend just isn’t putting in effort anymore) and you get ghosted 🤷🏼♀️I think I could write a novel.
