we had a avo tree in the back yard and out collie use to eat them and berry the pip under the tree so she used to grow her own little trees 😜

Idk today my dog ate 4 WHOLE AVOCADOS while mum wasn’t home but completely skinned them and left the skin and the pits whole. I guess I have a smart one 🤦♀️No symptoms yet but monitoring very close!

Our dogs (labs) probably ate around 1,000 avocados over 14 years (we had avocado trees in our backyard) and nothing happened? How does that work?

i had an avacado tree and my jack russel used to eat it and then use the pit as a ball to play with. she died from a snake bite but other than that she was fine after eating multiple avos

Not me growing up in Spain on an avocado plantation with 3 rescue dogs who used to eat fallen avocados and play with the pits like a ball, only learning this like 10yrs later 🤦♀️

What about the skin? Our dog jumps up to get them off the tree. She doesn't eat the pip though. We're constantly doing Avo patrol when they're in season to pick them 1st.

It was a huge stress factor for us because my dogs would grab our avos that dropped from our tree. Luckily they didn't actually eat them. They just played with them

I thought avo was poisonous for dogs, if we had avo I always made sure they didn't get any of it. mushrooms too until I called my vet🤣
