“Emily and I got engaged on Saturday, May 25 at the Stanly Ranch Auberge Resort in Napa, California. The week before, I surprised Emily with a patio picnic at home here in Austin, Texas to tell her we were going on a special trip. When she asked where we were going, I pointed to the bottle of wine we had been drinking from. It was one of the vineyards we would end up going to that weekend. We flew to SF on a Thursday, and I rented us a little red sports car to shoot up to Napa. We got into the hotel, enjoyed a couples massage, relaxed in the sauna and at the pool, and had a casual room service dinner. On Friday, we went for sushi downtown. And on Saturday, I had a stylist come to the room in the morning to do Emily’s hair. I had the car pulled up, and just as Emily was about to get in, I told her to hold on. I said let’s get a quick cup of coffee from the welcome house. Then, I “changed my mind” and said let’s swing by the spa gift shop to get a sweater because it was a bit chilly that morning. On the way there, we passed by Infinity Hill, an art installation on a hill overlooking the property and the mountains. There was a “closed for private event” sign, but I told Emily it looked like it was empty, let’s just take a look. (I had booked it out.) We got to the top of the hill, and Emily turned to me and, with tears in her eyes, asked if this was really happening. With tears in my eyes, I got down on one knee and told her it was. I asked her to marry me, and she said yes. When we got home back to Austin, I had one more surprise up my sleeve: a backyard celebration with our family and friends. We both want to thank you all again so much for creating the perfect engagement ring for us. We will cherish it forever, and it made us feel so special to have something so bespoke sourced and made just for us.” ~ We got this e-mail today and it brought literal tears to our eyes 🥹Such an honor to be a part of Emily & Ari’s story and thank you both for trusting us (we worked with them virtually - sending images and designs back and forth on e-mail). Such a dream to work with them 💖
