@boonieflightproject: ✨Meet Ellie✨ She's a Saipan pup who was at the shelter for far too long. Most dogs don't get to stay for "far too long", but shelter staff fell in love with her sweet disposition. Every week I would ask if we were ready to euthanize her? And staff would say, "She is such a kind dog, I can't do it man" ❤️ We don't get a lot of wins here. Saving a dog one of us is attached to here and there is the best we can do. So finally I loaded her up and took her away. Usually I would pick a more outgoing and adaptable dog from the shelter who is "adoption ready" or close to it, but her sweetness has now won me over too. She has a long way to go and clearly trauma to overcome, but no mean bone in her body. We don't deserve dogs. Heartworm, tick disease, the poops. She was getting really thin at the shelter and running out of time. We are treating it all thanks to some amazing sponsors, and getting her spayed ✨ She is for local adoption. She could eventually be available for adoption off island through a cumbersome but doable route. TBD. But if you are interested let me know 😊 #saipan #saipanhumanesociety #booniedog #boonieflightproject
