If you have a low income but have say 200k+ in savings, can a guarantor help with getting you a loan? Or can they "co sign"? I could increase my income but prefer to work part time. My borrowing

I tried to have mum as my guarantor but her property is in a retirement village that wasn’t allowed even though she owns her place, something to do with the title on the land if I remember correctly.

This is how my husband and I got our house. My mum went guarantor and within not even 2 years we were able to have her taken off as guarantor.

What do they have to have to be garuntor? If they are on age pension but own their own home can they garuntor with thei home for you?
