In Sweden we call it "Förfest" and after "Efterfest" witch translates to "Pre-party" and "After-party"

We have it in Finland as well.. no one goes to a bar before 23-01 because it’s pretty much empty.. It’s a time to enjoy your company before the group dissolves at the destination.
