I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult and it made me much kinder to myself… because up to that point, everything related to my ADHD was used to bully/mistreat me by peers and teachers (1/2)

Didn’t know I was doing it but learned really quickly how to “hide” my stimming—curling toes, twirling hair, chewing gum, doodling, nail picking, anything not super noticeable to the public eye.

Top of my class, class president, the "ideal" student, GT program my entire life. All because I was trying so hard to be "normal". My husband now fully embraces my tism + ocd and it's so nice to finally be myself at almost 38... yay for growing up in the 90's
