@hedgerow_healing: As a Hedgewitch, I was raised incredibly close to nature. I learnt how to identify plants from an early age, how to connect to the rhythms of nature, I discovered herbalism, ancient traditions, and learnt that when you immerse yourself in the natural world you are tapping into that ancient understanding of what it means to be human. So many of us rush through life, spending the majority of time on screens, and the little time we get to spend in nature is dominated by the thought that we need to "be" somewhere. Even I find myself doing it on walks, telling myself I have to finish this soon so I can get home in good time to cook, film, or answer messages. Modern society has turned us into beings who constantly rush through life, where as actually, the point about life is just to enjoy it. Next time you go for a walk, take extra time to stop and look at the world around you. Put away your phone. Sit down and lie on the grass.
