This is why most of my friendships blow up. Normally, I become their therapist to get that deep connection and really impress them with that ability. Then resent them when they can't reciprocate.

I have ended up in too many situations too many times where I’ve regretted sharing with people I thought were my friends/partners I thought actually cared about me. I just keep to myself now😩😩

I've had a number of encounters with people where I had long, deep conversations, they seemed engaged, it was a good back and forth... they never contacted me again. It's really hurtful -
