I'm gay and trans, was raised in a small Christian village in the middle of nowhere in the UK where the LGBTQI+ community was never mentioned. Was a gay/trans kid just didn't have the words.

my sister is a trans woman. she was born into the wrong body, watching her transition has been an amazing experience and I'm so proud of her. she's finally happy and I'm happy for her.

I didn't even know what transgender was until I was well into my twenties... I didn't have a word for what I was feeling. And it's still took me another decade to realize I'm gender

I knew I was trans before I knew what LGBT was. I was raised not knowing that queer was. It wasn’t banned in my house it just wasn’t talked about. When I came out my mom loved me and supported me.

a cat being fed a vegan diet is unhealthy for the cat. A kid being told that they are not allowed to do/wear certain things because 'that's only for boys/girls ' is unhealthy for the kid.
