@gardenzaddy: Cold zone gardeners look away 👀 but for those of you who are always asking what you can grow in Zone 9 or Zone 10 (particularly in a Mediterranean climate like Southern California) then this is for you. Of the 3 annuals that I grow as perennials peppers are no doubt my favorite, and I am able to generally keep harvesting peppers until November, at which point fruit production wraps up for the year. The cucamelons and tomatoes are somewhat similar, but as I mentioned I don’t really like to grow tomatoes as perennials as they grow SO fast compared to the other two in the summer that it’s not worth leaving the space alone. Instead I would grow peas, beans, or a nitrogen fixing flower that fills up the soil with nitrogen, but you can do with this information as you will! This is true for container gardening, raised bed gardening, in-ground and really any form of gardening. #gardening101 #gardeneducation #perennialgarden #perennialflowers #perennialplants #perennialvegetables #peppergrower #growpeppers #cucamelon #tomatoseason #gardeningforbeginners #zone9 #zone9a #zone9b #zone10 #zone10a #zone10b #socalgarden #socalgardening
