@stoutridgeranch: Looking for a low cost animal to add to your farm? Jersey bull calves! In our area- they are very cheap to buy unlike angus that are cery pricey right now. Obviously consult a vet or farmer if youve never done this before- but our buddy has been so easy and relatively low cost compared to other breeds!

If it's sustainable, it shouldn't be controversial. Jersey meat is good lol

I disagree with you in a nice way we raised a jersey stear and it was completely grass fed. I think that was the best beef we’ve ever eaten. He also only cost me $20 as a two day old calf

See the problem is I could never do this. the cow would become family and more than likely it would become an indoor cow and end up sleeping in my bed with me and my 4 dogs and 3 cats

We started our farm 4 years ago and took this route! We raise 100% grass fed Jersey/ Jersey crosses! We love it and so do our customers!

Jersey beef is the best! Many get turned off by the yellow fat, but hands down best tasting beef you can get!

I ❤️My Jersey boys! Additional hack… just get more each year and it’s easier to send them in when it’s time!

The only thing I disagree with is they are expensive to raise cuz they eat like any other calf but they don't grow as fast. So it takes them longer to be "freezer ready"

Make sure you get it a friend. Cows feed competitively and if there’s two of them they’ll gain weight faster and keep it on!

The current calf market is insane and this isn’t feasible. They’re going for $8-$9lb right now

So when a dairy cow has a boy and the farmer don’t want it and gives it away can it be bottle fed whole milk and an egg 2 times a day?? And for how long does the milk increase or decrease👇
