That's payment would help women relocate. I wish I had this when I was DV by my ex. I only left when I knew it was a life n death situation n had to live with strangers for 3 mths.

100% there are false claims. Just like perjury isn't prosecuted and should be. But you avoided the truth. Instead shifted to "under reporting" which is far greater in Male victims.

Well said! It is an “affirmation action” scheme, but the financial barriers for women to leave violent relationships are on average so much higher, I understand why they have done this.

Shouldn’t you get the help if you suffer DV regardless of gender. If your spouse beats you up, I doubt a stat that says it was unlikely to happen to you because your a man is going to help you.

To my knowledge it’s not $5k cash. It’s specific items or services. But I think the bigger risk is if the government increases it abusers could coerce victims into submitting claims for their benefit

Men don't report their DV as much. I doubt the stats portray an accurate representation of what's really going on.

I left a DV and moved here. I had my blog (income) deleted, everything made difficult despite moving away. This is needed I just hope it isn't abused b/c there are manipulative women unfortunately.
