It seems like warrant officer would have been a choice here. Maybe the Marine Corps plans to make too many for warrant wouldn’t have made sense? 🤔

That’s E-5, right? 50 years ago I came in as an E-3. Not that much of a bump. Particularly when you consider the skill set.

I’m ok with them being paid as an E-7, but giving them two rockers right out of bootcamp? Direct Leadership position or not, they still have authority over all personnel of lesser grade.
