Well the underlying assumption that people don’t trust AI is not proven. It’s getting so good that yes, people will trust it. Even now we do!

I’d love to try some things out. Which do you think is the best ai therapist right now?

I think it can help as people need a place/platform where they can feel free to express their thoughts and feelings without being judged.

You give them the option to choose.

Alternatively have a human and an AI. Tell them them they’re talking to a human but an AI is responding for “language barrier” problems

Placebo test, tell a group they may or may not have a human or AI therapist as support. Have 3 groups , full human, half, full ai. Analyze further to verify the beneficial impact of AI

There’s no choice here. People will always learn it’s an ai

Choice 3: you don’t tell them and let them assume. If they think they’re talking to a human then boom 💥 passed the Turing test

Don’t launch it first as a therapist, but rather launch it as a coach, advisor or assistant, build rapport then after there is trust privacy expand conversation maintaining privacy

I talk to AI when feeling stressed end up feeling match better and understood. the scary part is that you can end up over relaying on Ai

Probably I would challenge the idea that talking to an ai it’s not going to help them… my guess it’s that it help them but it will take more time.. for the same reason people fall in love of chat bots

I think you can build trust with the AI option - you need to let people select the option and opt out after a period of time if they dont feel they are getting a benefit

Cut out ethics 😁 Just be open about the approach. Some forms of mindfulness 🧘🏼 work even better when you close your eyes. So a hybrid form of meditation and AI assisted therapy could work.

doesn't sound right. I remember than some Soldiers back in the days had great success with taking to a much more primitive AI that they knew was an AI.

Sorry but I disagree on the point of trust. I actually found GPT for myself to be very trustworthy. I could disagree and make it talk from a different theory/standpoint.

There may be a third option. I am working on a behind the ear wearable device designed specifically for this application. This allows for the user to build a bond with a platform.
