best advice I have (I got 10 scholarships) is to be in as many clubs and volunteering opportunities as possible. Band, track, UIL, FCCLA, honor society, Keep A's and B's, theater, leadership positions

My school did the exact opposite. The created a new rule that didn't allow people to win more than one. This someone would have won 5 scholarships but got 1 instead. So 200$ instead of 1000$.

In my case I applied for as many as I could because I had no idea how much I would get, which is what everyone is told to do. It’s not selfishness, it’s doing what you have to do to get by 🥲
