Pudding mix makes it taste like real ice cream. It needs the binding, like xanthan gum, which pudding has. I use the chocolate recipe and adding a tablespoon of pudding mix.

Instead of respin, run it on the same cycle again. Putting in a bowl of warm water for a few mins before also helps a lot because the sides won’t be stuck and won’t need extra liquid.

If I used the “lite ice cream cycle” and it is powdery, I run it through another whole “lite ice cream” cycle. Don’t need to add more milk either!!

for ones that are milk based i find i have to spin mine AT LEAST 3 times before i get the right texture and for chocolate use chocolate milk or melted chocolate the cocoa powder never gets it super chocolate flavored i find

I started adding a little xatham gum in mine and it made a huge difference. I also started doing my first spin then scraping the sides and then spinning again instead of letting it sit out ☺️
