Run of bad snap rings? I’ve seen some for other vehicle applications fail because the heat treatment was off and cause them to lose tension when heat was applied.

also there are a couple of options for snap rings in the 35r drum as well. there's a revised part number because they kept popping out.

Bad converter, internal vibration caused the snap ring to come off. There is also a top & bottom on snap rings so if it was installed upside down that may have helped the issue

Does the addition of the 7th friction and removal of wave plate in the 4-5-6 cause any harsh shift issues? Been wanting to try this in the 3-5-R and 4–5-6 with Sonnax parts but worried about customer complaints with shift feel.

The snap ring blows off after the clutches are smoked and the piston over travels. My wager here, which would be confirmed with the tool,

maybe be helpful I messed up on a recent rebuild ill admit but good lesson learned !!! I installed the sonnax boost valve spring with lb1 kit behind a transgo OS pr valve delays randomly drives good ⬇

could I drill old thermo to remove and replace with delete and later updated....no prior history on rebuild or anything at 137k....I'm afraid i owe too much north 10k yet....
