if a tattoo artist is setting their own prices I absolutely will not tip. their income is w/in their control. same for hair stylist.

Never had an artist ask for a tip in the US and when I do tip they are always incredibly thankful for it. I gave a 150 dollar tip and my tattoo artist hugged me and gave me a monster 😂

I gave a tattoo apprentice a tip and he rang me half an hour later, like are you sure? It was £20 on a £100 tattoo, bless him 😂

I always tip 10% & bring snacks for my tattoo girl and I swear she looks like she’s gonna cry from gratitude every time. It’s the sweetest thing ever, but she is crazy talented and deserves it all!😭

I'm Canadian and I only had $700 cash and my tattoo was $740 and I said I'll e-transfer the rest with a tip and she refused, made it $700 even, and refused a tip bc I made her a crocheted keychain 😂

I hate when tips are expected cuz sometimes all I can do is tip a couple of bucks but sometimes I can do a nice tip it literally depends on how I’m doing financially

like. I get it. but like. why don't they just charge what they want? I'm an artist, I don't take tips, I just charge what I want. I want a tattoo but the whole forced tipping concept puts me off.

I tried to tip my artist £50 on a £150 tattoo, wouldn't take it so I bought 2 of the tshirts with the shop logo on 😂 he's a good friend of my partner and did an amazing job 🥰

In Germany a tip would be 1 to 2 euro only. It’s called trinkt Geld where it’s for the staff to buy a drink after their shift.
