Espresso cream baked oats ☕️ Coffee lovers, this one’s for you!!! 🤝 Here’s what you’ll need: Ingredients: 2 large bananas OR ~1 cup apple sauce 3 cups (~200g) oats 1/3 cup (~40g) vanilla protein powder 1/2 cup (~30g) cocoa powder 1.5 tsp baking powder ~2-3 tbsp honey/maple 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional) 1/4 cup (~30g) walnuts 1/4 cup (~50g) chocolate ~2.5-3 cups liquid (I used ~2 shots or ~1/2 cup coffee + ~2 cups milk)
Berries of choice (to serve) Topping: 2 x 160g small pots of YoPRO (I used vanilla0
Mixed with ~2-3 tbsp cream cheese (to taste)
+ 1 tbsp fine coffee ground (I used Nescafe gold) [p.s. like this? my baked oats eBook is currently 50% off for the next week! 🎉 containing 19 other baked oats recipes, including nutritional information - find the link in my bio!] Method: 1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (~350 degrees Fahrenheit). 2. In a greased oven safe container/baking tray (20x20cm), combine the banana, mashing this like so, followed by the rolled oats, vanilla protein powder, cocoa powder, baking powder, nuts, honey/maple, coffee, and milk. Mix until well combined. 3. Place in the oven and cook for about ~35-40 minutes, or until firm to touch. 4. Allow oats to cool in the container/ tray, and then loosen the edges with a knife. 5. Combine and add the ‘espresso cream’ topping. 6. Cut into desired servings and serve with additional fruit of choice (berries go great with this!) note: if serving warm the next day - reheat a slice in the microwave for ~1 minute (yes the yoghurt layer actually tastes great slightly heated also, or you can add this the next day, after heating if you would prefer), or serve as is/cold. *individual portion sizes will vary. #coffee #espressocream #bakedoats #oatslice #healthybreakfast #easybreakfast #mealprepbreakfast #healthyrecipes
