Is it worth visiting the Phi Phi islands? Even though it’s one of the most popular places in Thailand, I nearly cancelled our trip to the Phi Phi islands. We had everything booked and just a few days before we were due to go, I was considering cancelling it. Something in my gut was telling me it wouldn’t be the right place for me - far too busy and lacking more authentic experiences. But mostly driven by the fact our hotel was non refundable, we went, and I’m really glad I didn’t listen to that nagging feeling. The water here is the amongst the bluest I’ve seen on my 3 weeks in Thailand - there’s obviously a reason so many people visit. The beaches weren’t as busy as I expected either, mostly thanks to the incredible tour we booked that got us to the most popular spots ahead of time.
