I respectfully disagree. If you develop a good relationship with the parents you build trust and then if something doesn’t go well one day, you work together to find a middle ground.

ugggg except we're told we have to build a relationship with the parents. parents complain if we don't talk to them and acknowledge them, even if we do talk to their children in front of them.
