@themediterraneangardener: How to protect your hose in summer? The number one rule for garden hose storage over the summer is to avoid direct sunlight. A hose left in the sun will crack, split and kink ruining the rubber tubing. Store it without kinks, so looping neatly or using something with a controlled rewind is ideal. Then keep it out of the sun, having it in an enclosed case or something that's mobile will mean you can get to all parts of your garden and easily move it to where it needs stored. I have flexible hose..100ft long...use it wirh pressure washer ..its tiny and lightweight..not like that heavy hose
