yeah if you want static types just use another language. Whether it's Julia, Rust or C++ ( most of python is just ffi calls to c++ libs anyway ). also data structures in python are horribly inefficien

pydantic is great for an ecosystem or colaboratory env. docker sure is interesting... but I feel we are just trying to play the I can't live without my starbucks coffe here... except for coding.

I use a mix of vim, emacs, and visual studios. I work on HPC clusters so kinda need to work in the command line

So using libraries and tools written in other languages to use make Python usable. Also Cython and others, and people still say Python is a great language - easy for data manipulation but that’s it
